Police organises awareness Prog on New Criminal Laws at IUST Awantipora

Srinagar : A seminar was organized on Tuesday for spreading awareness regarding reforms in new criminal laws among students of Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora .
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar the program was conducted under the guidance of SSP Awantipora Ajaz Ahmed Zargar. The programme aimed to educate and inform the students about the recent amendments and additions to the criminal laws, ensuring that they are well-aware about the new legal framework. During the session, Addl. SP Awantipora Rashid Younis, SDPO Awantipora, DySP DAR Awantipora, Sr. PO Wasseem Ahmad Shah, Sr. PO Hilal Ahmad elucidated the nuances of the new laws, providing clarity on their implementations and emphasizing the importance of adherence to legal statutes for the maintenance of law and order in society. More stress was laid on reforms brought in new criminal laws.
The programme witnessed active participation from the students of IUST Awantipora, who engaged in interactive sessions, seeking clarifications and expressing their queries regarding the new legal provisions. During the programme Register IUST Awantipora Prof. Waseem Ahmad Bari and senior faculty members of IUST Awantipora were also present.
