Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review progress of work on National Highway 144A (NH144A) and the Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote Road project.
The deliberations focused on resolving bottlenecks for smooth execution of the twin roads. The issue at Atti village hampering work progress on Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote Road project was discussed thoroughly. Om Prakash Bhagat directed the concerned authorities to take effective measures to address the issue at the earliest.
Regarding the National Highway 144A (NH144A), the DC asked for looking into claims of pending payment of compensation for the structures and trees removed along the highway.
The DDC stressed the need for close coordination among the stakeholder departments and agencies involved in the execution of the twin road projects. He directed the officers to work together to find solutions to the identified problems, so that the crucial roads are completed without any delay.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Defence; Israr Ahmed; OC 58 RCC, Ankit Uniyal and other concerned officers.
