A balanced representation to youth, women, schedule casts, schedule tribes and other backwards class in the just constituted BJP led NDA coalition ministry shows Prime Minister’s deep interest in inclusiveness. While due representation to the states where BJP’s allies are in power at the centre shows Prime Minister’s respect for the regional aspirations, the inclusion of a good number of BJP ministers from Schedule castes (SCs), schedule tribes (STs) and OBCs (Other Backward Classes) shows Prime Minister’s concern for consolidation of BJP’s position in several pockets of key northern states where the party has lost in just concluded Lok Sabha elections . Notably the coalition ministry under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra has many experienced veterans including some retired top bureaucrats having the distinction of successfully running some key ministries during last five years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The inclusion of three former Chief Ministers of three key states of country is yet another attempt to boost regional aspirations in policy decisions at the centre. The BJP led NDA coalition ministry in fact is a reflection of country’s diversity for which India is known across the world. The inclusion of two former chief ministers — Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Madhya Pradesh) and Manohar Lal Khattar (Haryana) with key portfolios of Agriculture and Housing ,Urban Affairs and power respectively shows Prime Minister’s respect for the mandate the BJP has received in Madhya Pradesh and his deep interest in the industrial and infrastructural development of Haryana. Significantly the Northern States like Madhya Pradesh and Harayana are known for unprecedented growth in Agriculture farming and social service sectors.
