Traffic to remain suspended on Jammu-Srinagar highway tomorrow night for repair work

Srinagar, June 10: Jammu & Kashmir Traffic Police on Monday said that traffic movement between Nashri and Banihal in the intervening night of June 11 and 12 will remain suspended due to some urgent maintenance work.

They said due to repair work no movement of any kind of vehicle including fresh perishable/livestock will be allowed on NH44 tomorrow after 6 pm from Qazigund towards Ramban.

Similarly no vehicular movement will be allowed from Nagrota (Jammu) after 5 pm and from Udhampur after 6 pm, they said and advised commuters to avoid journey on the highway till work is completed.

“As intimated by NHAI that urgent maintenance/repair work has to be carried out on NH44 between Nashri and Banihal during tomorrow’s intervening night of 11/12 of June 2024. All types of vehicular movement will remain suspended on tomorrow night,” Traffic officials said.

“No movement of any kind of vehicle including fresh perishable/livestock will be allowed on NH44 tomorrow on 11.06.2024 (Tuesday) after 6 pm from Qazigund towards Ramban. Similarly no vehicular movement will be allowed from Nagrota (Jammu) after 5 pm and from Udhampur 6 pm,” they said.

The traffic officials advised commuters to avoid journey on NH44 till the work is completed and plan their journey accordingly.
