Reasi :A review meeting under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan was convened in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to assess the implementation of employment generation schemes in Reasi District.
At the outset, the DDC took a detailed review of the implementation of self-employment-generating schemes being implemented in the District.
During the meeting, the DDC took an extensive department-wise review of cases sanctioned under different schemes, including Mumkin, Tejaswini, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEGP), DIC, KVIB and other self-employment-oriented schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC stressed the imperativeness of maximizing the coverage of unemployed youth in the District under diverse self-employment generation schemes. The DDC underscored the necessity of establishing Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in remote areas of Mahore and Gulabgarh. Additionally, emphasis was placed on imparting training to locals, particularly on homestay management, to augment income generation opportunities.
ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, GM DIC Mohd Anwar Banday, Joint Director Chief Planning officer Narinder Kumar, Chief Agriculture Officer, AD Employment, AD Handloom and other concerned officers were present.
