Pulwama: In a remarkable achievement, Diya Murtaza has emerged triumphant in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examinations, securing an impressive 631 points. Hailing from Chewa Ullar Tral, Diya’s success not only marks a personal milestone but also etches her name in the annals of her village’s history as its first NEET qualifier.
Reflecting on her journey to success, Diya attributed her achievement to relentless hard work and unwavering determination. Her academic journey began at Iqra Model Institute in Mandoora Tral, followed by guidance from 11th & 12th Crescent Coaching Centre Tral, and a comprehensive one-year course at Akaash Institute. “Since nursery, my dream has been to become a doctor, and today, I am elated to have realized that dream through sheer perseverance,” remarked Diya, beaming with pride. However, her journey was not without its challenges. Diya faced the loss of her father during her seventh grade, but found solace and support in her mother and brother, Bilal Ahmad. “My mother has been my pillar of strength, guiding me through every hurdle. With her unwavering support, along with that of my siblings, I persevered,” shared Diya, reflecting on the crucial role her family played in her success. The news of Diya’s accomplishment has reverberated throughout the village, with the community rallying around to celebrate her achievement. Expressing her gratitude for the overwhelming support, Diya acknowledged the outpouring of congratulations from her fellow villagers.
Looking ahead, Diya is determined to give back to her community by serving the people of Kashmir. While her aspiration lies in becoming a cardiologist, she acknowledges her family’s desire for her to pursue gynecology. In a message to the youth, Diya emphasized the importance of pursuing fields where one can excel and make meaningful contributions. “We should focus on the positives and steer clear of negativity to conquer challenges like cracking competitive exams,” she urged, inspiring others to strive for excellence in their chosen paths.
