Class 12 Results Out: 74% Qualify Exams

Girl students bag all top position in all streams, Male students nowhere in top three positions

Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education on Thursday announced results of annual exams of 12th standard with an overall pass percentage of 74 percent. The girl students have yet again outshined boys.
According to BOSE, the total pass percentage includes 72 percent in boys and 77 percent among girl students. BOSE on Thursday said that a total of 93,340 candidates were enrolled for the exams in which 69,385 successfully qualified it. About the overall performance of the candidates, BOSE said that a total of 46,500 male and 46,786 female candidates were enrolled for the examination out of which 74 percent qualified it. In the exams, a total of 25,435 students have registered distinctions, 33,437 secured first divisions, 10,318 bagged second division and 195 candidates registered third division. BOSE further said that in the examination, 1034 students couldn’t qualify the exams while 22,921 have been asked to reappear in the exams.
Meanwhile reports said that no male student has figured in even top three positions in all the streams. Basna Shah has bagged first position in Faculty of Arts, Anushah Gul from faculty of commerce, Ainain Niyazi from faculty of home science and Adeeba from faculty of science.
Faculty Of Arts: Basna Shah of Govt Girls Higher Sec School Kothi Bagh Srinagar has secured 495 marks, Hoor Sajid (494) of Green Valley Educational Institute Ellahibagh Srinagar and Seidra Mukhtar (494) from Govt Higher Secondary School Arihal.
Faculty Of Commerce: Anushah Gul of Green Valley Educational Institute Ellahibagh Srinagar has secured 498 marks, Wafa Feroz Kadla (498) of Green Valley Educational Institute Ellahibagh Srinagar Aida Omar (493) Green Valley Educational Institute Ellahibagh Srinagar.
Faculty of Home Science: Ainain Niyazi of Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla has secured 494 marks, Aaliyah Parvez (487) of Govt Girls Higher Secondary school Kothibagh Srinagar and Ruqiya Sultana (480) of Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Kothibagh Srinagar.
Faculty of Science: Adeeba of Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Nowhatta Srinagar secured 494 marks, Aamina Rashid (493) of Govt Higher Secondary School Chadoora and Aisha Riyaz (493) of Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Khanyar Srinagar
Pertinently, the annual regular examination of class 12th commenced from April 8 in hard zone areas while the examination in the soft zone areas commenced from March 6. Following the implementation of Uniform Academic Calendar, JKBOSE has classified regions via soft and hard zone areas keeping in view the different weather conditions. BOSE had said that the annual regular examinations held by the board for classes 10th, 11th and 12th shall be held in the month of March in both the divisions of Union territory of JK and Union Territory of Ladakh excluding hard zones. The Board however had said that the annual regular examination of hard zone areas of Union territory of JK and Union territory of Ladakh shall be held in the month of April. The board had further said that the results of annual regular examination of Kashmir division and Jammu division and Union territory of Ladakh including hard zones shall be declared simultaneously in the month of June
