Srinagar: In a significant development, Tehsildar Tral Imran Ahmad led the inauguration ceremony for the macadamization work on a 14.5 km road stretching from Tral to K-Koot in Awantipora on Monday.
The event, attended by concerned Assitant Executive Engineer (AEE), JEs, and Contractors, marked the commencement of a mega project valued at 18 crore in Pulwama district.
During the inauguration, Tehsildar Tral Imran Ahmad highlighted the importance of the project, addressing the long-standing demand of the local community. He said that, “the road construction, set to be completed within 1 to 1.5 months, is expected to not only fulfill the needs of the residents, but also enhance the beauty and accessibility of the scenic Shikargah tourist destination along the route.” Tehsildar Tral Imran Ahmad also mentioned that the work on several other roads in Tral sub-division will soon commence.
