Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has recovered illicit liquid fuel from Wailoo Kralpora and Souchpalpora villages in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pattan, Baramulla and also arrested two accused persons involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that following a specific input about sale of illicit liquid fuel the Police Station Pattan deputed a police party headed by SHO Pattan which raided a specific location in village Wailoo Kralpora and recovered 70 litres of illicit petrol & 50 litres of illicit kerosene from the accused identified as Bashir Ahmad Bhat S/o Sonaullah Bhat R/o Wailoo Kralpora.
Stating that in another similar action, a police party headed by SHO Pattan during a raid in village Souchpalpora recovered 20 litres of illicit petrol and 15 litres of illicit diesel from one Peer Sharief-ud-din S/o Gh Mohi-ud-Din R/o Souchpalpora , Police in its statement further said that both the accused were arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody, adding therein that cases under relevant sections of law were registered at Police Station Pattan besides initiating further investigations into the case.
