3 vehicles seized involved in illegal mining in B’la: Police

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested three suspects for illegal mining in Baramulla and also seized three vehicles from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that Police initiated action under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla and SDPO Tangmarg assisted by SHO Police Station Tangmarg and I/C Police Post Mirgund . Stating that two tippers and 1 tractor were seized besides arresting their drivers identified as Gh Nabi Sheikh S/o Gh Ahmad Sheikh R/o Gutlipora, Gh Mohammad Rather S/o Ab Ahad Rather R/o Shrai and Aqib Nazir Tantray S/o Nazir Ahmad Tantray R/o Darpora.
Police in its statement further said that all the accused were found involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals and cases under relevant sections of law were also registered in Police Station Tangmarg and Police Station Baramulla respectively besides initiating further investigations into the case.
