Srinagar, June 03: The firing between militants and security forces has been stopped at the encounter site in Nehama area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama.
Reports said that the house in which militants were trapped caught fire during the gunfight. However the search operation at the gunfight scene is underway.
Earlier the encounter broke out after security forces received tip off about the presence of militants in the area. Soon after the search party approached the suspected spot the hiding militants in the area started firing, triggering an encounter in the area.
It was believed that longest surviving LeT militant commander Riyaz Dar along with associates is trapped in the encounter.
