Srinagar: A local sledge puller went missing, while two tourists were rescued after a portion of a glacier collapsed at picturesque Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.
Police said a local sledge puller went missing when a portion of the Thajwas glacier collapsed, and two tourists who were enjoying the scenic atmosphere on it fell down as a result.
The tourists were rescued while the locals are still missing, they said.
A massive search operation has been launched to locate him, they said.
