Inter-Distt Futsal League concludes at Kishtwar, Kathua FC lifts trophy by defeating Anantnag FC

Kishtwar: The highly anticipated First Edition of the two-day Inter-District UT Level Futsal Tournament, organized by the District Administration Kishtwar led by Deputy Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav, in collaboration with the District Youth Services & Sports Office (DYSSO) Kishtwar, concluded successfully the other day here at the Futsal Astro Turf of Government Degree College (GDC).
As many as 10 teams from Kathua, Udhampur, Jammu, Doda, Anantnag, Srinagar, and Kishtwar districts participated in the tournament. The tournament was sponsored by Rattle Hydro Power Corporation (RHPC).
The concluding ceremony was graced by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav and SSP Abdul Qayoom. Other notable attendees included DIO Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, DYSSO Jafer Hussain Sheikh, Convener of the Futsal Tournament Bharti Sehrawat, staff of the DYSSO office, team players and numerous Futsal enthusiasts.
The tournament’s final match featured an exhilarating contest between Kathua FC and Anantnag FC, with Kathua FC securing a decisive 7-3 victory.
During the felicitation ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav, along with SSP Abdul Qayoom and other officials, presented the trophies and prize money to the teams. The winning team, Kathua FC, received a prize of Rs 25,000, while the runner-up, Anantnag FC, was awarded Rs 12,000 in addition to trophies.
In his address, Dr. Yadav congratulated all the teams and organisers for making the league a grand success. He emphasised the unique advantage with pleasant climate Kishtwar offers for hosting National football tournaments in summers.
