Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has seized nine (9) vehicles and arrested their drivers in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The action was initiated under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla, SDPO Tangmarg, SDPO Pattan and SDPO Kreeri assisted by SHO’s of Police Station Baramulla, Police Station Tangmarg, Police Statioin Kreeri and IC Police Post Mirgund.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that it has seized nine vehicles including 7 tippers, 2 tractors and also arrested 9 drivers identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone S/o Mohd Ramzan Lone, Jamsheed Ahmad Dar S/o Gh Mohd Dar, Khursheed Ahmad Dar S/o Mohd Sultan Dar, R/o Jalsheeri Baramulla, Riyaz Ahmad Dar S/o Habibulla Dar R/o Ijara Pehlipora Boniyar, Sajad Ahmad Mir S/o Gh Mohd Mir R/o Khadniyar Baramulla, Ab Rashid Dar S/o Ab Rehman Dar R/o Druroo, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat S/o Assadullah Bhat R/o Chandbugh, Jahangir Ahmad Magloo S/o Ab majeed Magloo R/o Bangdara and Irfan Akram Mir S/o Mohammad Akram Mir R/o Bandgam Budgam . Police in its statement also said that the said accused has been found involved in illegal mining & transportation of minerals.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at Kunzer, Baramulla and Kreeri Police Stations besides initiating further investigations.
