Youth drowns to death, in Dal Lake

Amid dry, hot and humid weather, hundreds of people including men, women and children mostly bare foot visited the revered suffi Saint Shrine Sheikh Noor-Ud-Wali popularly known as Nund Resh at Charar-e- Sharief in Budgam district on Sunday for prayers to seek rainfall to end the drought season in Kashmir valley. Srinagar: A youth drowned to death at the world famous Dal Lake near Nishat area of Central Kashmir’s district Srinagar on Thursday evening, officials said.
An official said that a youth drowned in Dal Lake and subsequently died this evening. He added that the body was retrieved by SDRF later and his identification is being ascertained. Meanwhile, the police have taken up the investigation
