RO B’la PC presides over Training Prog for AROs

Baramulla : As part of the ongoing efforts to ensure a seamless and transparent electoral process, the Returning Officer for 1-Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency, Minga Sherpa on Wednesday conducted a training programme for Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) at Dak Bungalow Baramulla.
This programme is a pivotal component of the preparations for the upcoming vote counting scheduled for June 4th.
The training programme was designed to thoroughly equip AROs with the essential knowledge and skills required to manage the vote counting process with precision and transparency. Emphasis was placed on strict adherence to the established guidelines and procedures, reinforcing the commitment to maintaining the integrity of the electoral process.
In his address, RO underscored the importance of accuracy and vigilance during the counting process. He urged all officers to perform their duties with the highest levels of professionalism and dedication to democratic principles. The programme featured comprehensive briefings on technical aspects of vote counting, including the use of counting software and the proper handling of electoral materials.
The event saw active participation from all designated AROs, who engaged in interactive discussions and practical demonstrations to address potential challenges that might arise during the counting process. This hands-on approach aimed to ensure that all officials are fully prepared to manage any eventualities efficiently and effectively.
RO expressed confidence in the preparedness of the AROs, reiterating the commitment to conducting a free, fair and transparent counting process.
