Kulgam: In a bid to achieve cent percent computerized billing system (CBS) of medicine sale outlets and with the aim to stop unscrupulous sale of scheduled formulations, inspections of the retail and wholesale establishments were conducted on Wednesday in Kulgam district.
During the drive, all the inspected firms were found to have installed high resolution CCTV Cameras and computer billing systems.
On the occasion, an awareness programme was conducted to inform wholesale firms of the district regarding benefits of installation of computer billing systems and prevention of misuse of scheduled formulations.
The inspection drive has been aggressively pursued to achieve a robust system for observing the conditions of licenses and governing provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetic Act.
Earlier in the day, one prosecution was launched in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Kulgam regarding non-maintenance records of habit forming drugs.
