Distt Admin Reasi to celebrate birth of every girl child in 2024

Reasi: District Development Commissioner Reasi, VisheshMahajan reviewed the functioning of the Social Welfare Department at a meeting convened here on Satureday. The meeting focussed on evaluation of the implementation of the schemes and activities aimed to benefit the beneficiaries.
District Social Welfare Officer Sachin Sharma, provided a detailed insights into the ongoing schemes and initiatives. A significant emphasis was placed on reaching out to the doorsteps of the eligible persons to provide them benefits of the schemes.
DDC Mahajan emphasised the importance of maintaining close coordination with other departments to ensure the smooth implementation of the schemes. He put special emphasis on BetiBachaoBetiPadhao Scheme and issued special instructions to celebrate the birth of every girl child born in year 2024 in the district Reasi as BetiJanamohtsav for the empowerment of Women.
He directed the officers to post the list of all pensioners on District Portal and to conduct mega awareness programmes in Blocks/ Panchayats and educational institutions to spread public awareness about all the Welfare schemes.
ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, Joint Director Chief Planning Officer Narinder Kumar and Assistant Director Planning Rajesh Kumar were also present.
