Patna: Claiming to get 310 seats after completion of polling in the five phases of the seven-phase Lok Sabha election, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday assured to scrap Muslim reservation and allocate the quota to the backward class in the country after coming back to power.
Addressing a rally in Veer Kunwar Singh stadium of Ara Parliamentary constituency in favour of Union Minister and outgoing MP R K Singh, Shah appealed people to bless the NDA with more than 400 seats. He assured that the NDA government after being voted back to power with more than 400 seats would scrap the Muslim reservation and provide the quota to the backward classes.
He further said in Karnataka five per cent reservation has been given to the Muslims while in Hyderabad the community was getting four per cent reservation which actually belonged to the backwards. Shah said that Calcutta High Court in West Bengal in yesterday’s verdict has also observed such reservation as illegal.
The top BJP leader assured that the party would not let anyone make a dent in the reservation of OBC, dalits, EBC and Tribals. Referring to the five phases of the polling already finished across the state, Shah claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was getting 310 seats and Lalu-Rahul has been completely wiped out. He said “ghamandiah alliance” (India Alliance) would not be able to open its account in Bihar.
The Union Home Minister reiterated that Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) was an integral part of India and the BJP-led NDA government would take it back.
He alleged that Congress was trying to scare BJP in the name of an atom bomb possessed by Pakistan and maintained that the BJP was not at all scared of Pakistan’s atom bomb and has taken a pledge to take PoK back.
Shah said it was Modi government which scrapped Article 370 and controlled militancy in the country. The BJP-led NDA government also eradicated naxalism from Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra where it had created havoc.
The naxalism would be completely eradicated from Chhattisgarh after Modi was voted back to power for the third term in the country, he assured. He cautioned the people about the activities of the CPI(ML), which is contesting from Ara as part of the grand alliance led by Lalu Prasad Yadav of RJD, saying kidnapping, extortion, scams, corruption, crime and the Jungle rule would be revived if the CPI(ML) won the election.
In his reference to Rama Mandir, the BJP leader said the Congress and Lalu Prasad Yadav had obstructed it for more than 70 years but Modi under his second term won the case, laid the foundation stone for construction of Ram temple and also inaugurated it in a short span of five years. Highlighting the achievements of the welfare schemes launched for the poor by the Modi government, Shah said all the schemes would be bundled out once “ghamandiya Gathbandhan” ( India Alliance) comes to power. He termed the INDIA Alliance as an association of corrupt leaders of Rs 12 Lakh crore which would revive Jungle rule again on coming to power. He also accused RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav of adopting dynasty culture and warned the Yadavas not to get misled that the RJD leader would ever think of their welfare and progress. He said Yadav concentrated on the development of only his family by giving the prime posts to his wife, children and his brother in laws. The BJP leader alleged that Lalu Yadav never protected the dignity of backwards and never gave them due respect whereas Narendra Modi honoured the class by conferring upon the highest prestigious award of the country the “Bharat Ratna” on the great socialist leader Karpoori Thakur.
