YSS G’bal hosts thrilling Inter-School, Inter-Zonal Distt level Sports Competitions

Ganderbal : Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Ganderbal, in alignment with its calendar of activities, showcased a vibrant display of sporting prowess on Tuesday, hosting an array of exhilarating sports events spanning all four zones of the District.
The day kicked off with an electrifying inter zone district level football competition for girls under 14 years at BHSS Hariganiwan ground.
The event witnessed spirited participation from all corners of the district, with Zone Tullamulla clinching victory in a riveting final match against Zone Kangan, securing the championship with a 1-0 win.
The winning teams were honored with trophies, underscoring their remarkable achievements.
Meanwhile, at BHSS Kurhama, Zone Tullamulla orchestrated an action-packed inter-school zonal-level Kabaddi competition for boys under 14 years, drawing the participation of 18 teams and 160 student players.
Hyderia Model School Tullamulla emerged victorious, showcasing exemplary sportsmanship and skill, and was duly recognized alongside the commendable efforts of the runner-up, BHSS Kurhama.
The day’s festivities extended to intramural sports competitions in Kho-Kho at MS Larson and Kabaddi at MS Kurag, attracting a plethora of enthusiastic students eager to showcase their athletic talents and forge unforgettable memories on the field.
In tandem, Zone Kangan played host to an enthralling Inter school Zonal level Kabaddi event for girls under 17 and under 19 years at the scenic Zonal Office Kijpara Kangan.
GHSS Kangan triumphed in both categories, demonstrating their prowess in Kabaddi and securing well-deserved victories over spirited opponents.
The commendable performances of all teams were celebrated during a ceremonious trophy presentation, amplifying the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
