SVEEP: Events held at famous tourist destination Pahalgam

Anantnag : The District Election office Anantnag in coordination with DYSS, Information and Public Relations Anantnag, SDM Pahalgam, CEO PDA, Principal GIM, and other departments organised a various events under SVEEP at various locations of the tourist resort Pahalgam viz. GIM Pahalgam, Baisaran, etc.
The aim of the events was to raise awareness among people about the importance of vote and election process.
The programme witnessed a good participation of students, tourists from across India, media fraternity, locals besides the officials of Education, MC Pahalgam, PDA, Sports, Information and Public Relations Anantnag, etc.
A cross country run was held at GIM, and awards were given to the winners and participants who hailed from various states of the country.
Horse rally was the centre of attraction which was flagged-off by SDM Pahalgam from Pahalgam and culminated at Baisaran. Tug of War between students, tourists and officials was also held.
An official of Information and Public Relations Anantnag presented a cultural programme which enthralled the participants which included tourists.
