Bandipora : The District Election Office Bandipora on Friday conducted supplementary randomisation of EVMs for the LokSabha Election 2024 scheduled to be held on 20th May 2024 in 03 ACs of District Bandipora which is part of 1-Baramulla PC.
The supplementary randomization of EVM Ballot Units was conducted as the number of candidates increased by 15 in 1-Baramulla PC.
The supplementary randomization was conducted under the supervision of District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, ShakeelulRehman in presence of Deputy District Election Officer, Mohammad RafeeqBhat; ARO 15 – BandiporaShabir Ahmad Wani, Nodal Officer EVM and other senior officers.
The supplementary randomization was also attended by representatives from various political parties.
On the occasion, the DEO said that randomization helps to prevent any potential bias or manipulation in the assignment of EVMs, thus ensuring that each polling station receives its machines impartially.
The randomization was carried out using dedicated software designed for this purpose to allocate Ballot Units, Control Units, and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) units for three assembly segments including 14- Sonawari, 15-Bandipora and 16- Gurez.
