Kupwara : In anticipation to the ongoingLokSabha Elections-2024 and as per the directions of Member Secretary, JK Legal Services Authority, an Awareness programme under Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative was on Friday organized by the District legal Services Authority (DLSA) in collaboration with Education Department, Kupwara at Govt. Hr. Sec. School NagriMalpora, Kupwara.
The programme was carried under the supervision of ShaziaTabsum Chairperson, DLSA (Pr. District & Session Judge) Kupwara, and under the guidance of Manzoor Ahmad Khan, Secretary DLSA/Sub-Judge, Kupwara.
The objective of the programme was to spread voter awareness among the participants and to encourage young voters to exercise their franchise.
Addressing the gathering, Resource Person, Irfan Ahmad Shah empanelled PLV of DLSA Kupwara, highlighted the significance of raising awareness about voter education and underlining the pivotal role of every citizen, particularly the youth, in shaping the nation’s democratic trajectory.
Engaging students from NagriMalpora Senior Secondary School exemplified the cultivation of active citizenship and community involvement.
The programme was attended by Staff Members of the said institution, Students, Para legal Volunteers, DLSA Kupwara, and other participants.
