According to a statement issued from Centre for Public Relations University of Kashmir, Srinagar this initiative is aimed to empower youth with the necessary skills and training while providing an ideal ecosystem where they will be guided and mentored, enabling them to showcase their abilities and talent on national and international platforms, an official statement issued here read.
Underlining the genesis of the idea of starting the academy at the varsity, KU Vice Chancellor, Prof Nilofer Khan, emphasised its inclusivity, particularly targeting candidates especially those in economically weaker sections, orphans and specially-abled students.
“It will provide comprehensive coaching, mentoring, study material, test series, accommodation, library facilities and internet access, all tailored to equip the aspirants with the necessary tools for holistic growth and development and ultimately their success,” Prof Khan added.
Director, CCPC, Prof Nazir Ahmad Dar, said that the entrance process for admission to the RCA will commence in the first week of July 2024.
“The classes are scheduled to start from September 1, 2024 and a very nominal fee will be charged, covering all facilities and services,” he said, adding that the detailed modalities will be notified on the university website soon.
