Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that it has attached property of one double-storied residential house belonging to a notorious drug peddler in Pulwama district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the residential house located at Mujgund in District Srinagar, valuing approximately Rs. 11.51 lacs belonging to a drug peddler namely Mohd Shafi Mir S/o Amanullah Mir R/o Kalarooch Kupwara has been attached under the NDPS Act 1985.
Police in its statement further said that the action follows a thorough investigation, identifying property as illegally acquired property by illicit drug trafficking, adding therein that accused is currently under judicial custody, reinforcing Pulwama Police’s commitment to combating activities detrimental to public safety and national security.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that it has carried out action in accordance with sec 68-F of NDPS Act 1985 and is linked with FIR No 301/2023 under sections 8/20,29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Pulwama, underscoring the vigilant stance of Pulwama Police against those involved in the drug trade.
