Srinagar: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Sunday asked people to remain vigilant on the day of voting and keep eyes and minds open.
“We are fighting a big battle, and we can only win if we keep our eyes and minds open,” Farooq said while campaigning for his party’s candidate for Srinagar Parliamentary seat, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, in the Wanbal area of Srinagar on Sunday.
He asked people to ensure that after casting the vote, they must check the connected VVPat machine to recheck their vote. Farooq asked people to remain vigilant on the day of voting.
He said that NC has been the eyesore of all anti-Kashmir forces since 1947.
Asserting that the National Conference has been the party of the common people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Since 1947, conspiracies have been hatched to target and weaken our party. But these attempts and conspiracies have always failed and will fail again this time. With People’s massive support, NC will emerge victorious again,” he said.
He said that people of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh have rejected the unconstitutional and undemocratic decisions of August 5, 2019.
“On June 4, when the results of parliamentary polls will be declared, the whole world will get a message that these decisions are unacceptable to all of us,” the NC President said.
