Pulwama: The District Election Officer (DEO) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom on Saturday undertook a thorough inspection of various Dispatch cum Receipt Centers (DcRC) across Pulwama.
The inspection encompassed pivotal locations viz. Pulwama, Pampore and Tral Assembly Segments, with a primary focus on reviewing arrangements like distribution and receipt of Poll parties, logistic arrangements and transport plan at each location for a seamless election process.
With a commitment to ensure the smooth conduct of the General Lok Sabha Election 2024 for the 2-Srinagar PC across the district, Dr. Basharat stressed the importance of meticulous planning and execution.
In addition to scrutinizing the transport plan and other logistics, DEO also inspected various designated polling stations (PSs) tailored for youth, women, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), reviewing the arrangements in place.
He highlighted the importance of accessibility and efficiency in the electoral process. This level of attention and dedication sets a positive tone for the upcoming election and contributes to fostering transparency and fairness.
Later DEO also inspected the Static Surveillance Teams at various locations in different Assembly Segments.
