Bandipora: In a concerted effort to combat the pressing issue of drug abuse, the District Drug De-Addiction Centre (DDAC) Bandipora on Saturday organised a comprehensive outreach program on Drug Demand Reduction at Khayar, Bandipora.
The programme was attended by ICDS and AASHA workers.
On the occasion, posters and pamphlets were distributed among the participants which served as informative tools, amplifying awareness on the detrimental effects of drug addiction and the resources available for recovery.
Addressing the gathering, MudasirNazir, Counsellor, DDAC emphasized the importance of psychological support in rehabilitation efforts.
SumeenaShafi from DDAC, threw light on the grave medical implications associated with substance abuse, while also outlining the array of services and facilities offered at DDAC Bandipora.
Afroza, an official at DDAC, underscored the indispensable role of society, community, and individual engagement in combating the scourge of drug addiction.
The event culminated with a renewed sense of purpose and determination, as participants pledged their commitment to support ongoing initiatives aimed at curbing drug demand and fostering a culture of well being.
