Ramban : Mission Director, Mission Vatsalya, Harvinder Kour on Thursday visited a district Ramban to inspect facilities available at various Child Care institutions (CCI) like CCI Boys (Palaash), CCI Girls (Parisha) and Specialized Adoption Agency ( Phulwadi) here.
The Mission Director inspected facilities like Medical facilities, libraries, counselling room facilities, recreational facilities as well as other facilities vital for grooming the overall personality of children residing in CCIs.
She gave explicit directions for continuously upgrading facilities at CCIs to make them more Child friendly.
The MD was accompanied by District Child Protection Officer, Ramban, Rahul Gupta who briefed the MD wbout various facilities provided in CCIs, role of management committee, child committee and also steps taken for more specific approach regarding education and health of Children.
The DCPO Ramban briefed that the education card and health card of all children are updated on regular basis and all types of facilities which a child is expected to get in an ideal CCI are being provided.
Later, the MD also interacted with children in CCIs and inquired upon any problem they are facing in CCIs.
The MD also inspected the records of Child Welfare Committee, Ramban as well as Juvenile Justice Board Ramban.
During the inspection, a brief powerpoint presentation about Juvenile Justice Act and rules as well as their execution on the field was also given.
Officers and officials from office of Mission Director, Mission Vatsalya as well as Parisha, Palaash and Phulwadi including superintendents and Coordinators was also present on the occasion.
