LS Elections 2024: DEO B’pora chairs interactive meeting, training session of female poll staff

Bandipora : In the run up to Lok Sabha Election 2024, District Election Office Bandipora on Thursday organized a meeting cum training session at Mini Secretariat Bandipora for female poll staff to be deployed for election duties at pink polling stations.
The interactive meeting was presided over by District Election Officer (DEO), Shakeel ul Rehman and was attended by Dy DEO, Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat; Nodal Officer Manpower and trainings, Dr. G. M Pujoo; Nodal officers for pink polling stations, Master trainers, female poll staff and other concerned.
DEO on the occasion emphasized Specialized Training sessions to Equip Female Polling Staff for Election Duties besides directing the concerned to take all necessary measures in advance to facilitate poll staff and voters at designated pink polling stations.
He also directed to conduct mock drills and comprehensive training sessions in order to prepare female poll staff to effectively execute their election related duties.
DEO emphasized well-preparedness of poll staff so that they can carry out their duties with competence and integrity, ensuring that every eligible voter can cast their vote freely and securely.
On the occasion, discussions were held to enhance understanding of election procedures and to ensure a fair and transparent voting experience for all.
Later, practical demonstration for handling EVM, VVPAT, and various other Poll day procedures was held to equip female polling staff for their vital roles in the elections so that they can contribute effectively to the electoral process.
