Dir Agri, Dir Law Enforcement review functioning of law enforcement wing of Deptt

Srinagar : The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal and Director Law Enforcement J&K, Mohammad Ilyas Khateeb on Thursday co-chaired a meeting of concerned officers to take stock of the functioning of the enforcement wing of the Department of Agriculture.
Addressing the meeting, Director Agriculture asked the concerned officers to remain in close coordination with the officers of the extension wing of the department in order to get effective results in the overall working of the department.
He highlighted the importance of transparency and accountability in the system to ensure smooth distribution of quality pesticides, fertilizers and seeds to the growers and farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Law Enforcement J&K said that the primary objective of the law enforcement wing of the department is to ensure the availability of quality inputs to the farming community of the region through proper sale outlets at appropriate time.
He impressed upon the concerned officers to put in all the efforts for online service delivery.
Khateeb said that while functioning in the field, the concerned officers must ensure that all the provisions of the insecticide act, fertilizer control order are implemented in letter and spirit.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture Extension, Joint Director Agriculture Inputs, Deputy Director Law Enforcement, Plant Protection Officer Kashmir, District Law Enforcement Officer North, District Law Enforcement Officer South and other senior officers of the Enforcement Wing of Agriculture Department.
