Ramban: District Election Officer Ramban, Baseer Ul-Haq Chaudhary on Tuesday presided over the third randomization process of polling staff designated for deployment across 348 polling stations for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024.
Virtually monitored by the General Observer for 4- Parliament Constituency, Dheeraj Kumar, and Police Observer Daljit Singh, the randomization exercise took place in video conference hall of DC office complex with all stakeholders in attendance.
Meanwhile, randomization by draw of lots of polling staff for identified Model Polling stations designated as Pink, PwD, and Youth Polling Stations was also done by the authorities.
The randomization adhered meticulously to the guidelines stipulated by Election Commission of India (ECI), ensuring fairness and impartiality in the selection of polling staff.
ARO, AC-54 Ramban, S. Harpal Singh; Dy.DEO, Abdul Jabar; DIO DIPR, Ramban, Ashraf Wani and DIO NIC, Parshant were also present during the randomization process.
While giving the insight of ongoing election process, the DEO Ramban, said all prerequisites are being fulfilled as per ECI mandate. He further underscored on paramount importance of transparency and integrity in electoral process, reaffirming the commitment towards conducting free, fair and credible elections.

General Observer 5-Jammu PC releases two SVEEP songs
Jammu: To enhance voters education and participation, a mega Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme was organised in Zorawar Singh Auditorium of Jammu University here on Tuesday.
The initiative, spearheaded by District Election Officer Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, was meticulously planned to galvanize the electorate ahead of Lok Sabha Elections scheduled for Jammu Parliamentary Constituency (PC) on 26th April 2024.
The event was graced General Observer for 5-Jammu PC, Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal.
On the occasion, the Observer released two specially composed songs that encapsulate the spirit and message of the SVEEP campaign.
The songs have been composed to resonate with electorate, serving as a melodic reminder of the power and significance of their vote.
The release of these songs marks a pivotal moment in the campaign, aligning with broader strategy to use culturally relevant mediums to promote voter awareness.
Adding a vibrant cultural dimension to the event, Sangram Hanjra, a noted Punjabi singer, delivered a stellar performance that was both entertaining and enlightening. Udhampur: District Administration Udhampur on Tuesday organized a grand voters awareness event under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign at picturesque Mansar Lake here.
Spearheaded by District Election Officer, Saloni Rai, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation of local residents in presence of several government functionaries.
Chief Executive Officer SMDA, Additional Deputy Commissioner, District Panchayat Officer, Nodal Officer for SVEEP, BDO Majalta, and other officers were also present on the occasion.

LS Elections 2024: Election Observers for Jammu PC visit Kalakote-Sunderbani AC
Rajouri: In a proactive move towards ensuring smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, General Observer, Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal and Police Observer Bopal Gajarao for Jammu Parliamentary Constituency on Tuesday visited Kalakote-Sunderbani AC and reviewed preparedness for the polling at meeting of official stakeholders.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), Flying Squad teams, Video Surveillance teams, Video Viewing team and Accounting team.
The Observers meticulously reviewed the preparedness measures undertaken for Lok Sabha elections.
During the deliberations, the Observers briefed the concerned stakeholders about their role and responsibilities, emphasizing the crucial nature of their duties. They stressed on maintaining transparency and fairness of the electoral process.

Samba: A mega Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) event was on Tuesday organised by district administration Samba at panchayat Badhori in the forenoon & at panchayat Mahalshah of district Samba in the afternoon.

LS Elections 2024: DEO Reasi flags off mega rally to promote voting awareness
Reasi: District Election Officer Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, on Tuesday flagged off a mega voters’ awareness rally, here from the General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium.
Organised under the Aegis of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), the rally culminated at General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College Reasi.
It saw enthusiastic participation of students, teachers, NCC and NSS volunteers, Anganwadi workers, officers and officials.
Addressing the participants, the DEO urged young voters to visit the polling booths on 26th April to cast their votes and also encouraged them to motivate their family members to ensure maximum participation in the Lok Sabha Election.

LS Elections 2024: Empowering specially abled voters: SVEEP program held at ‘silent village’ Dhadkai
Doda: The District Election Authority (DEA) Doda, under the guidance of District Election Officer, Harvinder Singh, on Tuesday orchestrated a significant Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program at the serene village Dhadkai in Gandoh Tehsil – the abode of a community with majority of its members struggling with speech and hearing impairment.
This initiative aimed to ensure that the Deaf and Dumb community, actively participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for April 19, 2024.
The event witnessed the presence of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsildar, Block Development Officer and other government Functionaries.
Known as the ‘silent village’ of India, the enthusiasm among the Deaf and Dumb voters was palpable. Their determination to exercise democratic right through voting, despite facing communication barriers, was truly commendable.
