DC Kishtwar reviews arrangements for Ramnavmi festival

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements for Ramnavmi festival while chairing a meeting of officers from Line Departments.
The meeting was attended by SSP, Abdul Qayoom; ADDC, Ghulam Rasool; ADC, Pawan Kotwal; ACR, Idrees Ahmed Lone; AD Food Shafqat Keen; CMO, ARTO, Tehsildar, XEN Jal Shakti, senior officers, representatives of PDD, MC, Traffic and other line departments besides representatives of Santan Dharma Sabha Kishtwar.
During the meeting, representatives of Sanatan Dharm Sabha put forth valuable suggestions on various issues like sanitation, uninterrupted electricity and water supply, traffic management, and adequate stocks of ration.
The DC emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, besides ensuring proper lime lining at festive venues, in and around the temples. He directed the concerned departments to promote sanitation. He also emphasized the need for concerned officials to visit the temples to assess the overall scenario.
DC also stressed on following all necessary guidelines, as the Model Code of Conduct is in force. He asked the police authorities to provide adequate security arrangements at temples.
The chair further called for interdepartmental coordination to put in place all necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth celebration of the festival.
He asked the PHE and PDD Departments to take all measures to provide uninterrupted water and power supply. PDD was asked to ensure proper lighting arrangements in addition to uninterrupted power supply.
Tehsildar Kishtwar was asked to keep a check on the rates and quality of food items being sold during the festival through market checking.
The Health Department was directed to keep sufficient provision for Medicare facilities and medical staff.
Other arrangements for ensuring fool proof traffic management during festive processions, stage settings, along with other necessary safety arrangements were also discussed and necessary directions were given to the concerned.
