Ganderbal: The District Election Office Ganderbal has initiated the specialized training program for polling staff in preparation for the upcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha, 2024 in the district.
The training, which began on Monday, will continue until April 20, 2024, covering approximately 1400 employees who have been drafted to perform crucial election duties.
The training program aims to equip the polling staff with essential skills and knowledge to ensure a smooth and efficient election process. It will cover various aspects of election duty, including operation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines, Polling procedures and handling of various election-related documents.
The training is being conducted at two venues across the district, ensuring convenience for the polling staff. The venues have been equipped with all necessary facilities to create a safe and conducive learning environment.
The first day of training was held under the Supervision of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani and Deputy District Election Officer Ganderbal, Abid Iqbal Malik.
The District Election Office emphasizes the importance of this training in achieving free, fair, and peaceful elections. Polling staff was urged to actively participate and make the most of this opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge.
