Absconder arrested in Awantipora: Police

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for long time here in Awantipora.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the warrant under section 512 CrPC issued by Court of JMIC Pampore pending with Police Station Pampore against the accused namely Tariq Ahmad Lone S/o Ghulam Mohidin Lone R/o Tujjar Sharief Sopore was executed, who was evading his arrest from last 13 years. Stating that the said accused was involved in case FIR No. 191/2011 of Police Station Pampore and was arrested by a special Police team under the supervision of SDPO Pampore Krishan Rattan, Police in its statement further said that the arrested accused was produced before the Court of Law.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that it has been making every effort to keep our society free of crime and also resolved to act tough against those who indulge in criminal activities under law.
