8 miscreants booked in B’la under Public Safety Act: Police

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has booked eight (8) miscreants in Baramulla under the Public Safety Act.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the miscreants identified as Waqar Ahmad Bhat S/o Bashir Ahmad R/o New Colony Kreeri, Danish Hussain Gojree S/o Abdul Gaffar R/o Takisultan Drangbal, Taseen Ahmad Hurra S/o Mohd Ramzan R/o Pethpora Hamrey, Mohd Abdullah Bhat S/o Abdul Aziz R/o New Colony Palhallan, Mohd Ashraf Wani @ Ashraf Haji S/o Mohammad Munawar R/o Utikoo Kunzer, Suhail Ahmad Sheikh S/o Ghulam Ahmad R/o Sheikh Mohalla Kunzer, Touseef Ahmad Akhoon S/o Ghulam Mohd R/o Khanpora & Abdul Majeed Shah S/o Ghulam Mohiuddin R/o Iqbal Colony Pattan have been booked under the Public Safety Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
Stating that the said booked persons were detained and subsequently lodged in District Jail Udhampur & Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu, Police
in the concluding para of its above quoted statement said that many cases were registered against the said accused for being involved in disturbance of public order, criminal activities and subversion, adding therein that despite their involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their activities, and were booked under Public safety act.
