Srinagar, Apr 13: Weather Department on Saturday predicted light to moderate rains and snow on higher reaches at many places with possibility of heavy rain, thunder, lightening, hailstorm and gusty winds at isolated places of Jammu and Kashmir on April 13 and 14.
An official of Meteorological Department Srinagar said that on April 13 and 14 the weather is expected to remain cloudy with light to moderate rain and snow at higher reaches at many places with possibility of heavy rain, thunder, lightening, hailstorm and gusty winds at isolated places of Jammu and Kashmir.
Keeping the weather forecast on account, the MeT official advised farmers to suspend farm operations till April 16. He also said the upcoming weather transition may disrupt surface transportation temporarily over few higher reaches during April 13 and 14.
“Travelers and tourists are advised to plan accordingly. Also temporary water logging may occur in few low-lying areas. Besides there is a possibility of landslides, mudslides and shooting stones on few higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir,” the official added.
