Bandipora: The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman Rather on Friday conducted a comprehensive review of the Health Sector in a meeting held at Mini Secretariat Bandipora to ensure effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement.
The meeting discussed various aspects, including infrastructure, service delivery, and healthcare accessibility.
The DC took block wise review to assess current practices, identify areas for improvement and implement strategic measures to elevate the overall standard of healthcare delivery.
The meeting also discussed measures to assess the availability of doctors and paramedics to address staff shortages.
The DC, on the occasion, emphasized the concerned to optimize resource utilization and enhance healthcare outcomes and patient experience.
He asked the CMO Bandipora to address shortages, if any, and enhance workforce capacity to meet the evolving healthcare needs.
He emphasized augmentation of facilities in the health sector across the district, especially in far flung areas of Gurez.
The DC on the occasion emphasized the availability of specialist doctors during night hours in District Hospital Bandipora and availability of gynaecologists round the clock besides functioning of the pediatrics department.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Mohammad Ashraf, CPO Bandipora Mohammad Maqbool, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rafi Ahmad Salathi, BMO Bandipora, MS District Hospital while BMO Gurez and BMO Hajin joined the meeting through virtual mode.
