SVEEP Campaign organised at Margam Top Warwan
Kishtwar: In a proactive initiative towards promoting awareness among Voters, the District Administration Kishtwar spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Dr DevanshYadav, collaborated with Kishtwar Development Authority, PMGSY and Forest Department Subdivision Marwah conducted a Special Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign.
The campaign featured a unique blend of activities including a Democracy Trek, Camping, and Plantation Drive, which took place at Margam Top Warwan of district Kishtwar situated at an altitude of 12500 fts. This collaborative effort aimed to engage the community in meaningful activities while raising awareness about the importance of voter participation and environmental stewardship.
The role of Assistant Engineer PMGSY Javid Ahmad Dar, BeatguardGulzar Ahmad Wani of the Forest Division Marwah Range and Dr.Muzaffar Ahmad Rather, Publicity Incharge of KDA Tourism Kishtwar remained pivotal throughout the endeavour.
Dr.Muzaffar Ahmad Rather, Publicity Incharge of KDA Tourism Kishtwar, commended the efforts of all involved parties and reiterated the commitment to organizing similar initiatives in the future for the betterment of society.
Javid Ahmad Dar, Assistant Engineer of PMGSY Department Subdivision Marwah, expressed his appreciation for the teamwork and emphasized the significance of such initiatives in fostering a sense of civic responsibility among citizens.

LS Elections-2024: DEO Samba Chairs Nodal Officers meeting to review preparedness for Lok Sabha Elections
Samba: District Election Officer, Samba, on Tuesday chaired a meeting with district Nodal Officers to review the preparedness for Lok Sabha Elections, 2024.
Threadbare discussion was held on transportation of polling staff/EVMs, training of polling staff, functioning of control rooms, welfare of polling parties, complaint redressal through the control room, voter facilitation centers, micro observer duties, home voting schedule, web casting arrangements, schedule route chart for home voting, implementation of MCMC and MCC guidelines of ECIand other related tasks assigned to the District Nodal Officers.*
During the comprehensive review, the DEO outlined the tasks and duties assigned to the Nodal Officers. He directed the officers to exhibit exemplary commitment and diligence in discharging their duties, recognizing their pivotal role in facilitating free, fair, and peaceful elections.
The DEO directed all the designated Nodal Officers to work with due diligence and dedication to ensure smooth, free and fair elections. He expressed confidence in the collective resolve and capability of the Nodal Officers to fulfill their roles effectively and efficiently, thereby contributing to the successful conduct of the LokSabha Elections-2024 in Samba.
He stressed all Nodal officers to work with a proactive approach and execute allotted tasks on ground and maintain cooperation and coordination with the line executing departments.
He further asked them to go through comprehensive ECI guidelines regarding duties and responsibilities during the election period.

LS Elections-2024: Expenditure Observer Samatha Mullamudi interacts with for 5-Jammu PC candidates, agents
Jammu: Expenditure Observer for 5-Jammu Parliamentary Constituency, SamathaMullamudi conducted a comprehensive training session with the candidates, and Election Agents and Expenditure Agents of candidates on Tuesday.
The meeting, which was held in the presence of Nodal Officer for Expenditure Yasir Rather, Deputy District Election Officer Rameshwar Kumar and Liaison Officer Tanvi Gupta.
During the session, the Expenditure Observer provided an in-depth explanation of the expenditure guidelines that are to be adhered to during the election period. She also addressed various queries raised by the attendees regarding the management and reporting of electoral expenditures.
Highlighting the importance of accountability, Samatha Mullamudi advocated for the appointment of an exclusive agent responsible for overseeing the expenditure of all candidates. “It is imperative that we maintain the highest standards of transparency and accuracy in our electoral expenditure records,” she stated.
Furthermore, the Nodal Officer for Expenditure elucidated the election annexures, ensuring that all participants were well-versed with the documentation and compliance procedures.

Udhampur: A vibrant voters awareness program was on Tuesday organized by the SVEEP Cell here atSlathiaChowk, Udhampur.
The event was Spearheaded by District Election Officer, SaloniRai, and coordinated by District SVEEP Nodal Officer, Dr.Preeti Sharma
The event captivated attendees with its fervor.
The highlight of the occasion was the enchanting performance by Dogri Singer AkhilBrahmanu and his team. He presented theme-based Dogri songs, igniting the spirit of the audience. The rhythmic beats prompted spontaneous dancing, while resounding slogans echoed in anticipation of the upcoming election festivities.
The event also witnessed the enthusiastic participation of young voters alongside locals, who were spellbound by the mesmerizing performances. The inclusion of local Dogri cultural elements added a special touch, evoking joy among the attendees.
As the event concluded, SVEEP Nodal Officer Dr.Preeti Sharma urged citizens to exercise their democratic right by casting their votes in the upcoming LokSabha Elections scheduled for April 19th in Udhampur district.
LS Elections-2024: Dalsar University Campus hosts vibrant voters’ awareness event
Ramnagar: In an inspiring display of democratic spirit, over 250 individuals including students and women converged at the University campus, Dalsar here on Tuesday for a unique voter awareness event.
Drawing participants from different polling stations, including polling station no. 13, 88, 89, 95, and 96, the program was a blend of cultural performances and lectures, all aimed at encouraging civic engagement among voters, especially students and women.
