Ramban: The District Election Cell Ramban under the guidance of District Election Officer (DEO), Baseer-Ul-HaqChaudhary organised one-day training program to enhance proficiency of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Supervisors for smooth conduct of the LokSabha Elections-2024.
Held in the Conference Hall of DC office, the session focused on equipping participants with necessary skills to operate Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) systems, alongside clarifying their roles and responsibilities during the upcoming election.
District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) led the training, providing thorough guidance on electoral procedures and meticulous handling of EVMs, ensuring a seamless and error-free election process.
Presiding the training programme, Deputy District Electoral Officer, Abdul Jabar, underscored the significance of training, emphasizing the pivotal role of BLOs in facilitating a transparent electoral process. The training session included practical demonstrations to bolster participants’ understanding and proficiency in managing voting procedures, ensuring they are well-prepared to facilitate a smooth voting experience for citizens at their respective Polling stations on polling day, he added.
The Dy. DEO informed that besides training, the BLOs have been provided BLO kits in view of the General Election to LokSabha scheduled to be held on April 19, 2024 in both the assembly constituencies of the district which are part of Parliamentary Constituency 04-Udhampur. BLOs were emphasized to arrange all necessary arrangements at polling stations for polling day besides establishing a facilitation centre for voters there.
