Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that it has booked two persons under the Public Safety Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority herein Baramulla district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the booked persons namely Abdul Rashid Sheikh S/o Ali Mohd R/o Lalpora Kharkhal Kunzer and Mohd Akbar Malik S/o Abdul Gani R/o Lalpora Wanikhal Kunzer have been detained and subsequently lodged in District Jail Udhampur.
Police in its statement also said that many cases were registered against these persons and were involved in disturbance of Law & Order situation and subversion and despite their involvement in many FIRs they did not mend their anti-national & anti-social activities.
