Srinagar: Police on Saturday have arrested two absconders who were evading their arrests from three decades in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police Party of Police Station Tangmarg arrested an absconder Nazir Ahmad AhangerS/o Ali Mohammad R/o Wahipora Tangmarg involved in case FIR No. 58/1989 of Police Station Tangmarg.
Stating that in a similar action a Police party of Police Station Baramulla arrested an absconder namely Mohammad Ashraf Laya S/o Gh Rasool R/o Jamia Mohalla Baramulla involved in case FIR No. 99/1999 of Police Station Baramulla, Police in its statement further said that a warrant of arrest was issued by the Court of Baramulla and Sub Judge JMIC Tangmarg against them, respectively, adding therein that accused had been evading their arrests since 1989 and 1999, respectively and both were produced before the Court of Baramulla and JMIC Tangmarg.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police said that it has been making all efforts to arrest the individuals evading their arrests and make them accountable for their criminal actions.
