Bandipora, April 6: The 85-kilometer Bandipora-Gurez road was thrown open for traffic on Saturday, an officials confirmed here on Saturday.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gurez, Mukhtar Ahmad said that the traffic was allowed on the road on from Sunday morning.
He said that given the Eid celebrations ahead and keeping in consideration the emergency of stranded passengers traffic on Sunday will ply on both sides.
“By afternoon we have allowed traffic from Gurez to Bandipora, by late afternoon traffic will be allowed from Bandipora to Gurez,” the official said.
