LS Elections 2024: SVEEP cell Rajouri organises Voters’ awareness campaign at GHSS Panjgrain, Tarkundi Ziarat

Rajouri: A significant awareness camp was conducted at Government Higher Secondary School Panjgrian, to foster electoral awareness among the residents of border areas of Panjgrian and Tarkundi.
The initiative was taken under the guidance of District Election Officer Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat.
The event witnessed active participation of team from District SVEEP Cell Rajouri, including Prof. Mohammad Iqbal Raina, Prof. Manzoor Ahmed Dar, Prof. Khalid Rayaz, Prof. Ajaz Nazir, along with Mohammad Ayaz Raina, lecturer, and Aftab Shawal Master, alongside members from SVEEP 87-Thannamandi.
Noteworthy attendees included people from the surrounding villages, persons with disabilities, as well as school students and staff from the surrounding villages and areas.
Prof. Khalid Rayaz, in his opening remarks, emphasized the fundamental right to vote bestowed by the constitution.
Prof. Mohammad Iqbal Raina, the District Nodal Officer (SVEEP), underscored the importance of active participation in the democratic process, stressing the need for maximum voter turnout to ensure robust governance.
Expressing gratitude for the awareness camp, persons with disabilities, particularly those affected by border shelling, commended the District administration. Several pertinent issues were raised during the event, with assurances from the District Nodal Officer for timely resolution.
In conclusion, Mohammad Ayaz Raina urged all eligible citizens, especially those aged 18 and above, to ensure their registration for electoral participation, reaffirming the collective responsibility to exercise the constitutional right to vote. He thanked all the attendees for making the camp successful.
Additionally, the team extended their outreach to Ziarat Sharief of Pir Allah Ditta in the Tarkundi on the border, providing electoral awareness to the pilgrims & devotees present there.
