DC calls for hassle free services for smooth celebration of auspicious occasions

Baramulla: In view of the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-fitr, Jumat-ul-vida, Shab-e-Qadr, Baisakhi, and Ramnavami festivals, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, conducted an extensive tour of several religious places in district Baramulla on Thursday to review arrangements put in place for the seamless celebration of these festivals.
He was accompanied by SSP Baramulla, Amod Nagpure, and other officers during his tour.
During the tour, the DC visited several important religious places, including Eidgah Jadeed and Eidgah Qadeem in Baramulla, Eidgah Sopore, Syed Janbaz Wali Shrine, Chati Padshahi Gurdwara and Shelputri Mandir in Baramulla to inspect the arrangements thoroughly and ensure that devotees do not encounter any difficulties on the days of celebration.
The DC interacted with the local representatives, attentively listened to their concerns, and issued immediate directives to the concerned officers for the prompt resolution of their genuine issues.
On the occasion, the DC directed the officers of all the line departments to ensure all necessary arrangements are put in place well in advance so that devotees do not face any difficulty during the observance of the holy occasions.
Meanwhile, Minga Sherpa directed officers for enhancement of facilities at the Eidgahs, emphasizing the need to ensure all services are fully operational for the convenience of devotees gathering for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers.
Furthermore, the DC instructed the PDD authorities to ensure an uninterrupted power supply, while the PHE department was entrusted to ensure ample supply of water at the religious sites, ensuring a hassle-free celebration of the festivals.
Additionally, the DC directed the concerned department to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness in and around the religious places for the celebration of auspicious occasions.
