DDC member Dr Harbakash conducts tour of Awantipora, Reviews facilities at schools, inaugurates cricket tournament

Pulwama: The DDC member for Tral block, chairman standing committee for Health & Education Pulwama, and PDP spokesman, Dr Harbakash Singh on Tuesday visited various areas of Awantipora to review the facilities at local schools.
On the occasion, Dr Singh paid a visit to Higher Secondary School Chersoo, and deliberated up on various issues pertaining to the institute. He also visited UPS Chersoo, UPS Charli Gund, High School Padgampora, UPS Dangerpora, & UPS Jawbehara, wherein he reviewed the basic facilities, besides taking stock of the ongoing JK BOSE exams. In Charligund area, Dr Harbakash Singh inaugurated a cricket tournament, titled Khalsa Cricket Premier League, which is being played every year. While inaugurating the tournament, he held a detailed conversation with cricketers and managing body.
In a statement, Dr Harbakash Singh said that, “I visited UPS Chersoo, UPS Charli Gund, High School Padgampora, UPS Dangerpora, & UPS Jawbehara, where i reviewed facilities in view of commencement of new classes, besides taking stock of the ongoing board exams”. He said that he also inaugurated the Khalsa Premier League edition 4, as the Chief Guest, which is being organised by Tral XI & GPC Pulwama at Charligund Sports Ground.
“Some schools are in need of infrastructure, while ICT lab in one of the higher secondary schools is yet to be operated. Apart from that, Charligund Sports Ground requires fencing to become more suitable for sports activities. I have taken cognizance of all issues, raised by students & cricketers, and will be discussing the same with higher officials for redressal,” Dr Harbakash Singh added.
