Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has booked five persons in Baramulla under Public Safety Act after obtaining formal detention orders from competent authority.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the five accused identified as Asif Ali Bhat S/o Ali Mohammad R/o Badipora Tangmarg, Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat S/o Gh Mohd R/o Tantraypora Palhallan, Waseem Mehraj Farash @Waseem Farash S/o Mehraj-ud-Din R/o Khanpora, Bashir Ahmad Sualiah S/o Late Ghulam Mohammad R/o Mohalla Jadeed Baramulla & Bilal Ahmad Dar @Shakir S/o Gh Nabi R/o Wussan Khoie Pattan have been booked under Public Safety Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
Stating that said accused have been detained and subsequently lodged in District Jail Udhampur & Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jail Jammu, the Police
in the concluding para of its above quoted statement said that many cases were registered against the said accused for being involved in disturbance of L&O and subversion, adding therein that despite their involvement in many FIRs they did not mend their anti-national & anti-social activities.
