Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has attached the property (Double storied residential house) worth approx. Rs 30 lakh measuring 1558 Sq ft belonging to notorious drug peddler namely Sabzar Ahmad Rather S/o Abdul Salam Rather a R/o Malipora, Devsar presently lodged in central Jail Kot Balwal Jammu under PIT NDPS act.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of NDPS Act of 1985 & is linked with case FIR No 02/2019 U/S 8/15 of NDPS act of Police Station Qazigund and case FIR No. 07/2023 U/S 8/20 of NDPS Act of Police Station Devsar.
Stating that the property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Kulgam Police, the Police in its statement further said that the property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic substances by the drug peddler.
