Theft case solved in Ang, accused arrested: Police

Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has solved a theft case by arrested two accused persons involved in the commission of crimein Anantnag, adding therein that the stolen property was also recovered from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that Police Station Kokernag received a written complaint from a lady namely Ruby Akher W/o Mohd Iqbal WazaR/o Sagam Kokernag stating therein that some unknown thief/thieves entered in her residential house while she was visiting her sisters house and have stolen some cash, Golden ornaments, copper utensils etc. Stating that a case under FIR No 30/2024 under section 454, 380 IPC was registered besides initiating investigation, the Police in its statement further said that during the course of investigation, a police party from Police Station Kokernag arrested two suspects identified as Faizan Gulzar Lone S/o Gulzar Ahmad Lone R/o Magraypora Achabal and Bilal Ahmad Ganie S/o Gh Ahmad Ganie R/o Nagam Kokernag and recovered stolen property from their possession.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police reiterated its commitment to make every effort to keep society free from crimes. Police also resolved to act as per law against those who indulge in criminal activities.
