Baramulla: The District Administration Baramullaon Tuesday organized a successful Voters Awareness program under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative at Fruit Mundi, Sopore.
The event aimed to raise awareness about various voting-related activities and promote electoral literacy among citizens, especially first-time voters, in anticipation of the upcoming LokSabha Elections 2024.
The event, graced by the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina, witnessed enthusiastic participation from various stakeholders, including Deputy Nodal Officer SVEEP Iftikhar Bashir, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), principals, teachers, students from different schools, and officials from various departments.
Participants were treated to engaging skits and interactive sessions designed to educate and inspire active participation in the democratic process.
Speaking at the event, ADC emphasized the significance of electoral literacy in empowering citizens and urged everyone, especially first-time voters, to exercise their franchise responsibly in the upcoming elections.
Furthermore, he underscored the vital role of every eligible voter in shaping the future of the nation, and encouraged attendees to elect representatives who can understand and address their aspirations effectively.
Booth Level Officers played a crucial role in educating participants about the electoral process, stressing the importance of their right to vote and their role as active participants in the democratic system.
As a token of appreciation for the active participation of local youth and students, certificates of participation were distributed by ADC and other officers present at the event.
Lok Sabha Elections 2024: DEO interacts with BLOs of Jammu Distt, Also flags off SVEEP van for voter awareness
Jammu: District Election Officer (DEO), Sachin Kumar Vaishyaon Tuesday convened a meeting of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium here to review preparations for upcoming LokSabha elections in the district.
Interacting with the BLOs, the DEO laid emphasis on their integral role in electoral framework. He delved into details of voter registration and distribution of Elector Photo Identity Cards (EPIC). He also shed light on the provisions being implemented for voters aged 85 and above, and those for specially-abled voters, to ensure their equitable participation.
The DEO urged functionaries to inspire voter engagement, emphasizing on the importance of maintaining a non-partisan approach.
To encourage voter participation, the DEO also flagged off a Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Van on the occasion. This mobile initiative will traverse each assembly constituency in the district, with its inaugural stop being Marh.
Nodal Officer SVEEP, Dr.Vikas Sharma, was also present on the occasion.
Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Under SVEEP campaign, NCC Cadets, NSS volunteers imparted training at GDC Rajouri
Rajouri: District Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) team Rajouri in collaboration with NCC Unit and NSS club on Tuesday imparted training to NCC Cadets and NSS volunteers at Government Degree College here to encourage them to extend help and support to frail and elderly to cast votes in the upcoming election of LokSabha 2024.
The event was supervised by Prof. IqbalRaina (DNO), Dr. Khalid Reyaz, Prof. AjazNazir and Tanweer Ahmed Chowdhury.
The training was imparted to the participants by Prof Khaleeq Ahmed Qazi, NSS program Officer and Major Tanveer Ahmed Chowdhary.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Mohammad IqbalRaina, Nodal Officer SVEEP, said that these collaborative efforts of SVEEP team, NSS Cadets NSS volunteers would not only increase electoral awareness but also garner a strong commitment to maximize the voting percentage in district Rajouri in upcoming election.
Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Training sessions on handling of EVMs, VVPAT machines concludes at Doda
Doda: Series of training sessions on proficient handling of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines culminated here on Tuesday.
The sessions were held in two shifts across three venues at Community Hall Doda, Community Hall Bhaderwah and Government Degree College Kilhotran (Gandoh). The focus was on intensive training of 2700 active participants.
The participants were imparted hands-on training on efficient operation of EVMs and VVPAT machines in the upcoming elections. Participants, including Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), Nodal Officers from Doda, Bhaderwah, and Kilhotran, as well as Tehsildars and other officials, actively engaged in learning the intricacies of these vital voting technologies.
Under the guidance of Master Trainers, encompassing District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) and Assistant Level Master Trainers (ALMTs), the sessions ensured comprehensive skill development of polling staff.
On the occasion, practical demonstrations elucidated the functioning of EVMs and VVPAT machines, enhancing participants’ understanding and proficiency in managing the voting process.
The training sessions proved highly successful, equipping participants with the knowledge and expertise necessary to facilitate smooth and accurate voting processes, thereby reinforcing the integrity of electoral system.

Udhampur: District Administration Udhampur, under the guidance of District Election Officer, UdhampurSaloniRai, and Deputy District Election Officer, Dr.AnirudhRai, orchestrated a crucial awareness initiative as part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign at ITI Institute Udhampur here on Tuesday.
Dr.Preeti Sharma, District Panchayat Officer and designated Nodal Officer of SVEEP, led the session, enlightening participants on the significance of elections as cornerstone of democracy. She emphasized the pivotal role of active engagement in the electoral process for nurturing national growth and development.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: DEO Reasi inspects various polling stations
Reasi: District Election Officer (DEO), Reasi, VisheshMahajanon Tuesday conducted thorough inspection of various polling stations in the 57-Reasi constituency to evaluate the preparations for the Parliamentary Elections 2024.
During the inspection, the DEO visited polling stations at Govt. Girls High Secondary School Reasi, Govt. High School Gran, and Govt. High School Ghair Mari. He assessed the provision made for basic amenities like electricity, water supply, sanitation facilities and accessibility for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) voters.
The DEO emphasized that all polling stations should be well prepared and sanitized for the elections. He instructed the concerned authorities to promptly address any deficiencies to ensure a hassle-free voting experience for the voters.
